The final balance adjustment patch for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, version 13.0.1, has just been released. That’s all well and good, but what’s really interesting is that compatibility for the Pyra, Mythra, and Kazuya amiibo figures has been added as well! Naturally, we’ll be releasing guides for them in the future. That being said, Sora has not been added into the game. This implies that his amiibo figure is either extremely far from a release date or that he’s not getting one at all. It’s difficult to tell, but we’ll post again with any updates! For more details, feel free to join our Discord server!
Today is a special day — it’s August 29! And that means that six years ago today, the Amiibo Dojo officially opened its doors for the very first time. That also means we’ve been creating amiibo training guides and content for six whole years — which is longer than anybody else! We’ve got no plans of stopping, either; as you may have noticed, we’re still updating our Super Smash Bros. Ultimate guides to this very day.
Here’s some additional information, then, kind of like a site update: the remaining guide updates will most likely be completed by the end of the year, and we also plan on making content covering Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl closer to its actual release date. We hope you look forward to it! We’d also like to thank you for sticking around to make Exion the number one amiibo training resource. We’ll keep working hard to uphold that title!
Hey everyone! We’ve been hard at work behind the scenes updating amiibo Wiki pages, which is why you haven’t seen any new content on the home page. So we thought we’d provide you all with an update post just in case you’re interested in learning some of the strengths, weaknesses, and history behind these characters. You can find links to all the pages we’ve just updated below!
In case you don’t know this already, these wiki entries are completely separate from our training guides. Our guides tell you what to do, whereas wiki pages explain how each character has performed competitively over the years. Give them a read if you’re interested!
Hey everyone, it’s been a while since we’ve released an update post like this one! As you can see, we’ve been hard at work updating our amiibo training guides once again. At the time of writing, we’re about halfway there, and we don’t plan on stopping anytime soon! We hope our training guides have helped you train tournament-ready Figure Players. On a somewhat-related note, I have something exciting to announce today — Exion now has an official Patreon page.
You may be wondering why we need to have a Patreon, and that’s understandable! Earlier this year, I made a post on Twitter trying to raise money to pay for the site’s upkeep. It’s starting to get really expensive, and quite frankly, I can’t afford to pay for it all myself anymore. I’m a college student and I am trying to save up for other things as well; combine that with expensive site payments and it becomes a bit too much for me to handle all at once.
To add to that, though, I’ve been creating amiibo training content with the help of the community since 2015. That means I have technically been creating amiibo content longer than anybody else! And on just about every day since 2015, I’ve had to put in several hours of work – be it updating a guide, fixing tiny errors behind the scenes, creating new site images – you get the point. It is a lot of work to do for free, and between that and the site payments, I have decided to create a Patreon to help keep Exion up and running.
We’ve also got some benefits for Patreon supporters, and you can find out about them here. Of course, you don’t have to subscribe if you don’t want to! But any help is much appreciated, and will go a long way in keeping Exion up and running. I want to be able to work even harder to make it the best amiibo resource out there, and I can’t do that without your help. Thank you so much for considering!
Today is February 24, 2021 — and this marks ten years since our community’s humble beginnings in 2011. To be honest, saying all of this feels crazy. Ten years already?! For last year’s anniversary celebration, I typed out our full history, so if you’re looking for a little bit of a history lesson today, you can read up right here. Now then, today we’re celebrating in two ways. I’ve made a commemorative banner, and I am hosting a giveaway on my Twitter! More info on that in just a moment.
