Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl – Money Farming Guide

Farming money is very easy in Pokémon Sword & Shield. As per our guide, all you have to do is complete tons of Dynamax Adventures (which can be done in the background) and you’re essentially all set. In Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, there’s an even simpler method to farming money, and all it requires is the Vs. Seeker and (preferably) an Amulet Coin. Prepare to grind and let’s get right into the method!

Party & Item Setup

After obtaining the National Dex, there are several ways to make money in Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl. You can defeat the Gym Leaders in a rematch each day, challenge the Elite Four over and over again, and go mining in the Grand Underground. That being said, what we’ve found to be the fastest way of making money involves the Vs. Seeker on Route 210. Here’s a step-by-step guide explaining what you’ll need to do:

  1. Make sure you have the Vs. Seeker, an Amulet Coin, and HM06 (Defog). You receive the Vs. Seeker on your way to Hearthome City. You can find the Amulet Coin in Amity Square, and you can receive HM06 from an NPC in the Great Marsh.
  2. Head to Route 210 and clear away the fog. Head over to the location seen in the screenshot above and use the Vs. Seeker to challenge Double Team Jen and Zac. Send out two of your Pokémon and make sure one of them is holding the Amulet Coin.
  3. The team will send out a Gyarados and a Raichu, so plan your team accordingly. Defeat both.

You’ll receive about 27,000 Pokédollars each time you defeat them! It only takes about a minute or two to do so, so this is an incredibly fast farming method. If you’re quick, you could make up to 100,000 Pokédollars in around ten minutes. By the way, you’ll have to walk 100 steps in between each use of the Vs. Seeker. If you have two high-level Pokémon, it’d be a great idea to put some Eggs in your party to hatch them simultaneously!
